Andros
The Largest of the islands in the Bahamas (104 by 40 miles) is also the least explored. This island also boasts spectacular mangroves and some of the worlds deepest blue holes, which continues to attract divers from around the world. The bone fishing capital of the Bahamas, Andros boasts some of the best fishing around, bonefishing, gamefishing are just a few of the more popular sports.
Ideal for a romantic getaway, there are a selection of boutique style resorts just a step away from the beach and continues to be a favourite amongst honeymooners or those just wanting to get away from it all.
Most of the major towns in Andros are scattered along its northeastern coast. Heading south, the settlements become more remote and are well worth a visit for palm-fringed beaches and warm and friendly people.
Because of an abundance of space, families continue to take advantage of this island paradise, as kids are free to explore the natural resources on this island.
